My client is a fast-growing tech company with a dynamic product that offers retails an innovative buying experience. The team has been scaling up quickly in the past 2 years with majority of the teammate based in Hong Kong. My client is currectly expanding the tech team and looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join. This ideal candidate will be experienced in NodeJS backedn development and familair with the architecture design and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect secure and scalable software solutions, with a focus on backend systems, that deliver robust and lightning-fast endpoints using NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Collaborate seamlessly with multiple stakeholders, including Product Managers, Designers, and Front End Developers, to understand how to integrate backend development effectively within our ecosystem.
- Work with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Terraform, and AWS to ensure efficient development, deployment, and monitoring of our software solutions.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, reviewing their pull requests and assisting in their professional growth.
- Take ownership of the development of our core backend system, making informed decisions on application architecture and ensuring its alignment with business goals and technical vision.
- Conduct regular code reviews and architectural assessments to maintain code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and proactively incorporate them into our software solutions to drive innovation, optimize performance, and leverage the power of NodeJS and TypeScript.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with a strong focus on backend systems development in a professional setting using NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Expertise in designing and implementing secure and scalable backend systems, leveraging NodeJS and TypeScript as the primary programming languages.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Terraform, and cloud platforms like AWS, ensuring efficient software development practices.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- In-depth knowledge of application architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices for building robust, maintainable, and scalable software solutions using NodeJS and TypeScript.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions on application architecture and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
