My client is a leading technology consultancy company specializing in providing innovative solutions to the public sector. They are known for delivering high-quality services and drive digital transformation for clients. My client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director / Service Delivery Director to join the team and lead the successful execution of government-related projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set strategic directions for the service delivery team, aligning them with the organization's business objectives.
- Lead and motivate teams to achieve departmental targets and deliver revenue and profit goals for key client accounts.
- Collaborate with the customer solution team during pre-tender, tender, or trial stages to secure new contracts.
- Manage a team of project directors and managers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Work closely with Line of Business (LOB) teams to ensure the availability of qualified resources for project requirements.
- Foster responsive and strong relationships with customers, implementing effective problem reporting, escalation, and resolution processes.
- Manage risks and the impact of customer change requests, identifying implications for services, timelines, and costs.
- Oversee the service support team, ensuring prompt resolution of system issues and proactive preventive measures.
- Monitor and control the budget, optimizing costs to maximize revenue and margin.
- Provide feedback to service and product offering teams regarding competitive intelligence and opportunities for innovation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies applicable to the sector and collaborate with LOBs to build relevant engineering capabilities.
- Implement technology risk and control frameworks for the team.
- Cultivate strong partner relationships with key vendors and contractors to meet client requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the IT industry, with a strong track record in project management, preferably in the government sector.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with executive-level and management staff.
- Client-focused mindset with exceptional organizational and project management capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead multiple teams and deliver robust IT services.
- PMP certification and ITIL certification would be advantageous.
