My client is a consulting firm operating globally with a multidisciplinary team of over 1,900 employees, they specialize in leveraging technologies such as AI, data analytics, and digital strategy consulting. With a presence across Europe and Asia, they have successfully collaborated with diverse partners in complex industries, including healthcare, banking, pharma, government, and the industrial sector. They are currently hiring a Technical Writer to join the team in Hong Kong for 6 months to 1 year.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to gather and understand technical information for various products and services.
- Develop, organize, and maintain a wide range of technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and release notes.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to documentation standards through thorough research, review, and editing.
- Work closely with product managers and developers to understand product features and updates, and effectively communicate those changes in the documentation.
- Continuously improve documentation processes, tools, and templates to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure documentation aligns with the overall user experience.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, creating documentation for software applications, APIs, or technical products.
- Strong ability to comprehend complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to different audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or Confluence.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with version control systems and content management systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or other markup languages is advantageous.
