Our client is one of the leading online platforms that is rapidly growing across the region and a market leader in the majority of markets in which they operate. They are now looking for a Group Head of Retail to be based in Jakarta.

Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for driving the strategy for Retail across the Asia region. Managing a regional team, this role will own the category management mix for each country and identify, engage and negotiate with local, regional and international brands to acquire inventory to fulfil consumer wants and needs. Categories cut across Fashion and Apparel, Lifestyle, Electronics, Healthcare, Groceries among others. It is essential that the successful candidate comes from a strong retail background and has the desire to utilise the depth of their experience to transfer this knowledge to the digital realm.

Requirements:

• A recognised degree from a reputable university
• A minimum of 10 years experience in retail management
• A proven track record in successful negotiation with consumer brands
• Excellent man management skills and a track record in meeting company objectives
• Highly strategic, data driven with category management experience
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
