The role:
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Cybersecurity Operations Leader to be based in either Singapore or remotely with regional expertise to oversee the security operations within the fintech environment. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in team management, cybersecurity operations, and threat intelligence. You should also have proven experience in the payment-regulated industry and be capable of effectively managing cyber threats to maintain the highest level of security for our organization and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the regional cybersecurity operations team, ensuring effective protection against emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities in a highly regulated fintech environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats, ensuring operational resilience and business continuity.
- Oversee and drive incident response activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents across all regions.
- Implement and manage threat intelligence programs to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure secure development practices and security integration across all fintech systems, applications, and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to cybersecurity within the payment space (e.g., PCI DSS, PSD2, etc.).
- Build and lead a high-performance cybersecurity team, providing mentorship and professional development to junior staff members.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to improve security measures, while maintaining close collaboration with risk management, legal, and compliance teams.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership regarding cybersecurity risks, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or advanced certifications are a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least 4 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong background in managing cybersecurity teams, particularly within the fintech and payment-regulated industries.
- In-depth understanding of security frameworks and industry regulations such as PCI DSS, PSD2, and other financial security standards.
- Hands-on experience in threat intelligence, risk management, and incident response in a payment or financial services environment.
- Expertise in cybersecurity technologies, including SIEM, intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, endpoint security, and network monitoring tools.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.
