They are known for the professional expertise in creating investment opportunities and managing releveat risk as a full service fund house. As the business is continuously growing, they are looking for a Data Scientist to join their regional team.
Responsibility
Take lead of data science projects using different data sources to input into the product's recommendation tools for better data analysis. Achieve better product solution recommendations to customers and increase sales growth, business profitability, client retention and customer satisfaction.
Correlate different data sources to input into the products recommendation tools for better data analysis. Perform complex data mining and customer analytics projects, and develop advanced analytics/ Machine Learning-based solutions to uplift effectiveness of analytics and modelling to achieve better product solutions, from creation, evaluation, testing and continuous improvement.
Develop advanced analytics/ Machine Learning-based solutions to drive the customer value creation and uplift effectiveness of analytics and modelling riding. Improve the effectiveness of marketing programs and digital footprint through leveraging all sets of data.
Strong ability to perform big data analysis and provide data insights to users. Generate relevant, actionable insights based on iterative data analysis, conduct diagnostics, analyses, feeds insights and suggest intervention to translate data-driven output into business language. Continues to uplift the usage and awareness of data driven insights for business and make appropriate recommendations to respective business stakeholders
Act as Subject Matter Expert to work with IT, provide system requirements and ensure the implementation of technologies on the product recommendation tools and meeting the business requirements.
Ensure the best practices of the company and the market on data analysis, Implement the best practices to drive better data quality.
Requirements
PhD or Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Business Statistics, Applied Mathematics, etc).
9 years+ experience in applying data analytics, data mining and developing probabilistic models and machine learning algorithms, including applying analytics models and techniques in the real word experience
Expert in Python, R, SQL and data visualization package and familiar with Tensorflow or PyTorch
Experience in Web Analytics, also deploying analytics embedded campaigns such as targeting, response tracking and analysis, test and control development.
Hands-on experience of modelling, segmentation, multivariate analysis, and customer analytics using statistical techniques
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools, e.g. Power BI
Sound business knowledge in insurance / F.I. industry is preferable.
Ability to manage internal stakeholders and teammates and work independently and within a team environment
Experience working in the regional team would be an advantage
