The Role:
We are seeking a Compensation & Benefits Director to design, implement, and manage competitive and scalable total rewards programs that attract and retain top talent in the U.S. market. This role will work closely with global counterparts in China, ensuring alignment with the company’s overarching compensation philosophy. Fluency in Mandarin is required to facilitate seamless collaboration and strategic planning across regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive compensation and benefits strategy to support the company’s rapid U.S. expansion.
- Design and manage salary structures, incentive plans, and executive compensation packages that align with business objectives.
- Oversee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with local regulations.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure our total rewards offerings are aligned with industry standards and attract top talent.
- Partner with finance and HR leadership to develop compensation budgets, forecasts, and analytics.
- Work closely with counterparts in China, ensuring global alignment in compensation philosophy while addressing local market nuances.
- Establish and manage relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and third-party providers.
- Lead compliance efforts related to compensation laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in the U.S.
- Provide expert guidance on equity programs, stock options, and long-term incentive plans.
- Develop communication strategies to educate employees on total rewards offerings and drive engagement.
- Lead and mentor a growing compensation and benefits team, ensuring operational efficiency and strategic execution.
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of compensation & benefits experience, with leadership roles in high-growth retail, F&B, or multi-unit businesses.
- Expertise in U.S. compensation laws, benefits regulations, and tax implications.
- Experience managing executive compensation, bonus structures, and stock options.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills to assess compensation strategies.
- Fluency in Mandarin is required to collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Proven ability to balance global alignment with local market demands.
