Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Business Development Director to lead our business expansion efforts across the Gulf region, encompassing the UAE, Qatar, KSA, and Oman. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the architecture and construction industries, a robust network of contacts, and a proven ability to drive growth. This role requires strategic leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a track record of achieving significant business milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the firm's goals and objectives.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Gulf region, leveraging market research and industry insights.
  • Client Acquisition: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, developers, contractors, and government agencies to secure new projects.
  • Partnership Development: Forge strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance the firm’s market presence and competitive advantage.
  • Proposal Oversight: Oversee the preparation of high-quality proposals, presentations, and bids, ensuring they meet client needs and showcase the firm’s capabilities.
  • Brand Advocacy: Promote the firm’s brand and services at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, enhancing its visibility and reputation.
  • Sales Performance: Set ambitious sales targets, monitor performance, and implement strategies to achieve and exceed these targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the Gulf region to inform strategic decisions.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities, pipeline status, and strategic initiatives.


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, or a related field. An MBA or professional certifications in business development or marketing is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with a significant portion spent in the architecture, engineering, or construction industries.
  • Regional Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of the Gulf region’s market dynamics, regulatory environment, and key industry players.
  • Networking: Extensive network of contacts within the architecture and construction sectors in the Gulf region.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a proven track record of successful business strategies.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven expertise in negotiation and closing high-value deals.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the Gulf region.
